My Mother: My mother was very understanding. She taught me everything that I needed to know to make it through life. She raised 10 children 8 girls and 2 boys all on her own. She showed me what a real mother should be to her children in turn teaching me to raise my own.
My Father: My father played a big role in my education. He always told me how a man should treat a woman and what to expect from a man. I really feel that my father showed me how to make it in life regardless of the hand life may deal.
My Second Oldest Sister: She taught me basic home making skills. She was like a second mother to my siblings and I. She was the one who got me up for school in the mornings and made sure that we had breakfast, after school she prepared a nice hot meal for us and got us ready for bed. She took a lot of responsibilities off my mother’s hands.
My Third Grade Teacher: She played a huge part in my life, as a matter of fact, she saved my life. One day I walked into the class with a piece of candy in my mouth, I started to speak to one of my classmates and choked off that candy, Mrs. Block came over and started to perform the Heimlich maneuver. Not only did Mrs. Block teach me school lessons she also taught me life lessons.
My Childhood Friend: Destyni has been my friend since the first grade; we've never had a fight or even fallen out. Destnyi played a major part in my life, I could always be myself around her and she never let me down before. Destnyi's mother always treated me like her own. Still today 17 years later Destnyi and I are still best friends.
